Remember, 127 camera sales peaked in the 1950's but the film survived until
1995. Similarly, 620 was introduced before "The War" and was also
discontinued in 1995 (but when was the last new camera made/sold that accepted
it?).

In Kodak's defence, they still support some oddball formats. When was the
last Cirkut camera built? When did we last use or see someone else use
2.25x3.25 sheet film?

More importantly, did any of the cameras in those formats (127, 620, 126, 110,
and/or disc) actually *do* anything so unique or exceptional that can't be
done with any (more readily available) format?

Linhof is quietly discontinuing their 5x7 cameras because the sales are so
low. How many people are really going to be affected by this?

What are we fussing about here, anyway?

ps. I've never seen any 110, 126 or disc stereo cameras. Does this topic
even belong on this list? I suggest we move it to alt.geezers.whingers....
