You did not specify which type of slide film you use: Fuji/Kodak, 
professional/amateur, speed, etc. I get Kodak EliteChrome 100 at Costco 
(used to be Price Club). They sell 5 packs of 36 exp. for $17.99. 
Perhaps other warehouse clubs have film, too. I have been using this 
film and it's predecessor, Kodak Elite II, for quite some time and would 
readily recommend it. It has very fine grain and accurately records the 
color of the scene. The new EliteChrome 200 is nice, too.
