Kinda hard to do with slides mounted in standard stereo mounts...

I cannot visualize this... Rotation will bring vertical deviation and
demand that the eyes perform painful excercises... But simulated motion?
I just don't get it.

I think he must mean 2x2 mounts rotated together about their axis Arthur
Girling wrote an article with illustrations for the UK stereoscopic society
bulletin showing how a stereo pair can be rotated about their individual
axis and still be viewed stereoscopicaly. This was in reply to something I
had written in a folio note book about he fact that Magrittes painting "Man
With A Newspaper" can be viewed stereoscopicaly diagonaly as well as
horizontaly and verticaly.
