P3D Things that make you go OOUUHHFFFF!!! =(

Yeeterday, while pacing the hospital in Denver where my son was having
outpatient surgery, I happened upon a LARGE medical research library and
wandered in because of the medical reference stereo card in a
stereoscope in the display window. I asked if they had any other 3D
materials...

The first woman could not grasp what I was asking so she got her boss.
It turns out the view in the window is on loan and they ahve nothing
like it, or anything else 3D. 

She then went on to ask me if I had ever heard of a set of books that
contained "many of those round slide things that you click in a viewer"
about the human body. I said yes, trying to hide my excitement... I had
never been this close to possibly finding a Gruber set...

She said she used to work at an recently closed Army hospital there in
Denver, and when it was closed by the Pentagon they could not find
anyone to take most of their reference library. This set was one of the
items in it... Now, I was really getting excited... =)

Then she hit me with the 16 ton weight... "Since we couldn't find anyone
to take them, we just threw them in the dumpster..." There was my
OOUUHHFFFF!!! =( Just wanted to share a big near miss with some people
who would understand...
