P3D Add Realism to your shots

I am involved in several experiments using effects filters for stereo. I
have concluded an ideal way to use star filters for Realist or twin
SLRs. I have several low light shots that have the appearance of real
time stereo....that is, the image appears to move and change slightly.
Although some of these images can annoy, I follow a simple procedure
that yields great results consistantly. For simplicity lets use a star
filter with 4 light flairs and use the symbol
"+" to indicate the flair direction. On a clockface the flairs will
point to 12,3,6,9. Set the left filter effect to this direction. The
right filter will turn approx 30 degrees clockwise "X" on a clockface
the flairs will point to 1,4,7,10. Separating the flairs further than 30
degrees will disrupt the image and exaggerate the flaired effect,
drawing too much attention to the flaired effect.
I have a shot of downtown that looks so realistic ( taken from curbside)
that I'm expecting to hear a car horn blow behind me to get out of the
way! Now, if I can just get the tree limbs to move in the wind :-)
Oh?....it's been done?....
Oh yea.....they call it 3-D video. :-)
