P3D Loreo/Argus Macro?

It would seem to me that a person could remove the mirrors (crack them
off) a Loreo/Argus, put a magnifying lens in front of the two original
lenses, and have a very inexpensive macro camera. I assume that it is
the mirrors which are the primary cause in degrading the image quality
anyway. The lenses I'm sure are plastic but may be fair quality. This
camera would be easy to use and would not waste film like a 4 lens
Nimslo or Nishika. It already has a flash that should have plenty of
power for close-ups. A person could add small fixed aperatures to the
lenses for depth of field like the Realist Macro. Any ideas?
