the mirrors which are the primary cause in degrading the image quality
anyway. The lenses I'm sure are plastic but may be fair quality. This
camera would be easy to use and would not waste film like a 4 lens
Nimslo or Nishika. It already has a flash that should have plenty of
power for close-ups. A person could add small fixed aperatures to the
lenses for depth of field like the Realist Macro. Any ideas?

Sorry, but it just won't work! You see, the Loreo doesn't have a flat film
plane, as you would expect, and the lenses don't point forward!
In fact, without its mirrors it would be able to view slides with extremely
wide separation! (The lenses are toed out more than a little)
And relating to earlier discussions on the lenses in the Loreo, I have heard
them likened to lenses from a 110 camera - and I can believe it! They seem, in
fact, to be small, single element, plastic mouldings that work as well as can
be expected. I don't waste much film in mine, any more :-(
