P3D Linticular prints from Realist Slides?

I can't remember where I heard of the web site, maybe it was
here on photo-3d, in which case this might be old news to
everyone. Just the same, there is a German researcher at the
Institute of Theoretical Neurophysics named Rolf Henkel who
is working on the basis of stereovision. He has evidence that
stereopsis is a holistic process based on disparity between left
and right images, rather than specific feature displacement.
What is great about his work is that he has developed computer
algorithms to extract the disparity from a stereo pair, and to
synthesize the images between a stereo pair. If you go to his
web site you can use his program to generate the center "cyclopean"
image from your own stereo pair, and a visual representation of the
disparity in the pair.

This technology can be used to generate the necessary multiple
images for a lenticular print from a regular stereo pair. He
is currently working on making lenticular prints from classic
stereo views, and in an e-mail he asked if stereo photographers
might be interested in making lenticular prints from stereo
slides.
Visit his site and send him some positive feedback!
