I would add that if you are going to go that route, bind them in glass.
Between glass is OK; quality would be questionable. If you want it to last,
cement the filter rather than just bind it. and use glass, not plastic.
Remember that all glass polarizers are made by binding the materials
between glass.

I would also mention here that the axis of polarization should be parallel
to the camera. If the filter is tilted, unequal polarization can be the
