Thanks for the highlights of our meeting last night George, it's
nice to see _someone's_ doing it!

As far as the judging goes, I thought we did a pretty good job
(if I say so myself!). We have three judges and pretty much give an
image a score between 6 and 9. With a 6 being "send that one back
and show us a good one" and 9 being the highest possible, meaning
"WOW!! I could look at this image for hours and not get tired of it, lets
see more!!". And then there is everything in between centered about 7
which is a "nice" image.

I could pretty much tell that myself and the two other judges were
in "sync" with just about all of our "judgments". We cannot tell for sure,
of coarse, but when I give a "7" and the total score is a "21", you can
pretty much bet the other two gave it a "7" also. That's not always the
case though! Some times I wonder "what were they thinking?". But
George offered up two VERY NICE images which are always very easy
to score. The "Overview of Athens from Acropolis" was just beautiful,
good composition, lots of color, contrast, stereo effect, and pin sharp
focus. Great job on the Hyper too! The second image of "Overview of
Nafpaktos" was similar in quality with more depth then I think George
admits. Then there was the street scene which had me looking around
the edge of the screen to see what was down the two streets that lead
out of the picture behind the storefronts.

Nice work, deserving or the scores they got! But I must add, not all of
the images George enters are as nice as these! I know he's capable, but
why he submits the one's he does sometimes is a mystery to me! Maybe
_I_ should pre-screen your entries?! Our Dennis Hanser submits some mighty
fine work, often confused with George's, but I really think it has a lot to do
with him using exclusively(?) twins, quite often with polarizers and going to
way out places where the interesting subject matter is. I'm just thrilled
we've got this kind of active talent in our club.

   See you next month George!
