Most clubs in the USA use the standard stereo format (two chips
mounted in an 101x41 mm frame), also known as Realist format but
extended to 7p or even more. Most common club projectors are the
TDC and Brackett Dissolver. Some clubs also have the projectors
to project 2x2x2 format.

The main problem you might face when you decide to join a club
is that there is no stereo club close to you! There are only a
dozen or so stereo clubs in the USA. Check the web in
stereoscopy.com for a list of clubs (don't know how complete it is).

Good luck!
