I agree. I have found out about 3-D items that had not been discussed
on P3-D. If the seller gives a great discription, I get educated.
Recently, I wanted to try medium format stereo. My neighbor gave me a
camera he was no longer using. I looked on ebay to find this camera and
found that it was a nice camera and definitely worth getting another to
try medium formatt. I learned about this camera not only from the
discriptions I read on ebay, but also from e-mailing the sellers and
asking them about the camera. ebay sellers are very helpful! :^) I had
thought at first that the camera my neighbor gave me was broken. I took
the camera to the camera store and was told in fact that it was broken
and in need of repair. That night, unable to accept the bad news, I
kept playing around with it and noticed I could get it to fire and
advance sometimes. Hmmm, was there some weird way (unfamiliar to me
anyway since I had no experience with medium format) that the camera had
to be advanced? I emailed a seller on ebay and was told YES! There was
a certain way the camera had to be advanced. I tried it and it
WORKED!!! HA! No more broken camera!!! :^) Now, I could get the
second camera and make stereo pairs. ebay also provides me with info on
price range. Recently, I had to get new batteries for my Gossen Luna
Pro that had been working until the batteries died. It worked right
before I needed new batteries. I took it in, got new batteries and it
doesn't work. It is frozen! The camera store just told me my light
meter was broken. Hmmm...
