You can answer your own question if you know the focal length of
the VM 500 lenses and the size of the VM image.... The VM 500
commonly comes with 3" lenses but there are also the more rare
2 1/4" lenses.  In our club last year we used a VM 500 with 2 1/4"
lenses and from the same position as the TDC 116 w/5" lenses it
projected approximately the same size as the Realist slides via
the TDC, filling our 70" screen.

Ask tech-3d and I am sure John B. will send you a spreadsheet
to answer this more accurately. :-)
