P3D 3D at OCCC 1998

Jon Golden will present two slide programs that will be open to the
public (no charge) at Orange County Community College, Middletown, New
York, on Wednesday, November 18, 1998. For travel directions, contact
<sstiles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Following Jon's 2 p.m. show, OCCC students will conduct an
exhibition of 3D processes and products, including stereoscopes, View
Master viewers and projection, the NASA Mars analglyph projection
slides, 3D video, and some of their own photograph stereo compositions.
The exhibition is open from 4 to 7:30 p.m.

Jon will present his second show at 7:30 p.m. The shows are
sponsored by the Lyceum Program of the College and the
Psychology/Sociology Department. This is the third year we have
sponsored 3D exhibits. In 1996, Marc Grossman presented "How to See 3D
(stereograms.) In 1997, Simon Bell and Bill Duggan presented their
multi projector programs, "Fresh Perspectives" and "NSA'98, Richmond."
At each event, the exhibition has been presented by students in the
Introductory Psychology course, where we study depth perception. While
this is a basic introduction to 3D techniques, it does also provide
quality exposure to the 3D community.

I wish to thank those presenters, who have practically given their
time, the honorarium and payment for travel costs do not qualify as full

payment for the services given. Is there anyone out there who would
like to be our 1999 presenter? The event is always in the early weeks
of November... before Thanksgiving break.

            Stuart
