I am not shure about the availability of the original bulbs which I am
assuming were ordinary tungsten. But I did find that I could get halogens
like this with some difficulty when I wanted some as the nearest I could
find to the 200w bulbs for my Fed before I located a local supply of 150w.
I think I still have the suppliers address but they took a long time to
locate these bulbs and the ones that are more readily available are actualy
for video lights and I have also seen them as the modeling lights for
studio flash equipment. I dont know about the problem of the temperature
with a wooden projector. This will actualy be higher for halogen but as
they will probably be smaller than the original bulbs the heat may not be
actualy anymore perhaps even less. P.J.Homer
