I've had the lenses in my 3.5 apart so I know they consist of 3 individual elements..
I haven't had the 2.8's apart... yet..

I hadn't noticed any obvious effects, but I did have one shot of a tree with the light
behind it that had lots of smal "burst of light" around the branches.. wierd..
Just curious as to if other people had similar lenses.. and if they had any problems.
