P3D Ebay Crazy prices and sell-3d policy

I have been keeping track of ebay prices and will continue to do so
for future reference.

Some examples:

- Realist Mounting Kit: $122.50
- Early Realist (Ilex) w/case: $200
- Kodak Camera Case: $36.00
- Kodak Lens Cap: $19.25
- TDC 116 Projector: $355
- Kodaslide II viewer: $161.15
- Kodaslide I viewer: $80
- Red Button viewer: $165.50
- Revere viewer: $151.50
- Realist white button w/crack $112.50
- Busch viewer $152.50 (DID NOT MEET RESERVE)

I used to sell Realist red button viewers like new, reworked and modified
for 8p, for $150. I had a Revere viewer for $125 and could not find a
buyer (others were trying to sell these at this price too). Realist
white button over $100? Why??? (even without crack). Busch viewer does
not meet reserve at $152??? I had one mint and boxed for $125. I posted
a couple of times and this gentleman from England felt sorry for me.
I mailed him the viewer, air mail at my own expense! (subtract $10+)
He was very pleased and thanked me for this nice condition of the viewer.

Now, regarding sell-3d policy. A *-3d member wrote to ask us to consider
sell-3d policy regarding announcements of Ebay auctions. There are more
postings of the type "check what I have in Ebay" than actual sales of
items. Is sell-3d becoming a vehicle for promoting Ebay business?
Shouldn't sell-3d deal with buying and selling through sell-3d?
These are serious questions and we'll need to face them sooner or later.
