P3D Re: PHOTO-3D digest 3072
From: "ron labbe"
"Had the unique opportunity to see the kick-off of the "KISS in 3D"
("Psycho
Circus") tour... I provided the polarized glasses for the two Boston
shows!
I think many chose to just leave them on
or off for the entire show, since the problem of what to do with the
glasses
when you're not wearing them is a sticky one (especially when you need
both
hands free to raise your fists in the air with pure rock and roll
excitement)."
You need the plastic ones that we used at Richmond which fit around your
neck when not being used.
"I was excited about that rear screen..."
Why? I used a 12 foot rear projection screen from Concordia University
in Montreal and the 3D worked very well. The part I liked best was that
people could walk right up to the screen and become a player in the 3D
scene for other people further back. Doing so they did not actually
block the light of course. The only problem is the space you need
behind the screen which requires very short focal length lenses or a
very big room.
