This has been brought up before but no concrete solutions were put
forth. The Stylus Epic (model without zoom) also can be triggered by
a remote control. Problem is (and I think the same applies to the
zoom version) is that there is a delay of about 10 seconds before
the snaps the picture. This of course is so you can get in the
picture also. I haven't tested two Epics but my guess is that there
two camera's delay timing won't match.
Another problem is that it favours higher speed at the expense of
aperture and most of the time will result in reduced depth of field.
Too limited (dof that is) for my tastes. Excellent camera otherwise!
I would think there should be a way to get around the focus problem
that your technician mentioned.
