Here is something interesting I found at

http://www.animationartist.com/upcoming/Shrek/shrek.html

This is the article:

---- start ----
Movie: Shrek

Opens: Fall/Winter 2000

Company: DreamWorks and PDI

MPAA Rating: Not Yet Rated (PG expected)

Description: Shrek is DreamWorks second big 3D release from PDI, the first
being ANTZ. Shrek is the story of an ogre who wants to be good, instead of
bad like all the other ogres (sort of like Casper). Shrek is written by Ted
Elliot and Terry Rossio, both who wrote Disney's Aladdin and DreamWorks
upcoming The Road to El Dorado.

Tips: (November 23) "The Prince" reports that, according to Variety
magazine, DreamWorks is strongly considering releasing Shrek not only to
Widescreen theaters, but also to IMAX theaters in an IMAX format that will
require rerendering (and assembling) the entire animated film. It will,
however, give Shrek a true 3D look and put DreamWorks in the record book
with the first fully 3D animated feature for IMAX. Animation Artist magazine
has confirmed this tip.
