P3D TDC116

The condensers closest to the bulbs have something that looks like it was
burnt on to them. I have been able to clean some of the yellowish junk off,
but a lot still remains. This causes the projected image to appear off color.
I inspected the chamber around the bulbs and discovered that the paint is
deteriorating and rubs off. It's like soot. How can I clean the condensers?
How can I prevent this from reoccurring?
