I have used the Plano Storage Box too, but I was a little nervous about
the plasticizers in the plastic and release agents in the plastic
effecting my slides after long term storage. Light Impressions (a
company that specializes in archival photographic products) recommended
steel cases for long term storage. 

That is why I started using the old Brumberger slide boxes for storing
my slides.  After I could not find them easily, I started offering new
steel stereo slide boxes at my site.  I still use the Plano for short
term storage sometimes and for some of my dupes but my collectibles I
keep in the steel boxes. See:
