Just curious, why do they have to be new?  In the USA there is
such a supply of older stereo cameras (ca 50s) that there is
very little motivation for most people to built one from
scratch.  And, now with eBay, anyone with a computer and 
access to the Internet, could get one at what appears to be
a reasonable price.
