- Subject: P3D December Stereo Meeting Webster, NY
- Date: Fri, 04 Dec 1998 20:48:02 -0500
Monday December 14, 1998 is the next meeting of the still unnamed stereo
photographers' club of the Greater Rochester area. The meeting will be
held in the Betty Rissberger Community Room of the Webster Public Library,
1 Van Ingen Drive (behind 1000 Ridge Road), Webster NY .
Setup begins at 6:30. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM, ending at 8:30 PM.
(Room must be vacated at 8:45... options for a meeting place with longer
hours are being vigorously pursued) The meeting is free and open to anyone
interested in stereo photography.
Do-it-Yourself Night: All are welcome to bring examples of home-built or
hand-crafted stereo-related equipment that you would like to show. Tables
will be set up for members to display and describe their hand-crafted
wonders. We have some very talented members so expect to have a good
variety of practical projects to show.
Meeting Agenda:
Greetings, socializing, some snacks then a presentation of the projects,
followed by Q&A, discussion and maybe some more snacks.
I'll be showing a polarizing filter attachment for stereo cameras,
multi-viewer for Realist or 2x2 slides, motorized remote focus control for
TDC projectors, View-Master (tm) attachment for TDC projector, View-Magic
improvements, various steal-the-light viewers and an 8x lens upgrade for
View-Master (tm) viewers.
Time permitting, the meeting will wrap up with an "Open Projector" stereo
slide show. All are welcome to bring a *few* slides that you would like to
see projected for the group.
Polarized glasses will be available for use.
The Library building and the Community Room are accessible to persons with
physical disabilities.
>From Rochester, take 104 East towards Webster across Irondequoit Bay and
exit at Hard Road. Turn right on Hard Road, then a left on Ridge Road at
the light. A quarter mile on left is the Town Hall/Police Station. Park
in upper lot, Library is below.
