P3D Re: Stand up to a bully

Please, let's keep this discussion on this to a minimum.  

Here is my point of view:  I felt that Tom crossed the line with his S3d
message.  I don't care who he is and what has happened in the past.
I would have kicked out anyone for this.  

I knew he was going to post in photo-3d when I saw his messages sent to 
the moderators and the change in his subscription status from "Postpone"
to "Digest".  I could have blocked him from p3d but had no reason to do
so.  Now I believe that he crossed the line in photo-3d too.  This kind 
of message serves no purpose but to divide the list and generate a long 
and tiring thread of unrelated to stereo messages.  He could have 
settled the issue by talking to Bob Wier alone (I am not aware of any
such discussions).

It was never my job to comment on content in the first place.  Joel Alpers 
is the "content moderator" for the 3d lists.  But he has been so busy that 
he does not have time to read the list.  So I had to take up these duties 
and I believe I have done it well by subscribing to the minimum moderation 
principle.  As you may recall, there were only two instances where I had to
take action.  One was in P3d when the level of politeness had reached very
low levels.  The other was now in S3d with the problem of the many
off-topic and misdirected posts.

I have no problem giving up this "content moderation" function to someone
else.  I think the lists need a 3rd moderator.  Please let us know if
you would like to be one.  It only takes a little bit of your time.

This is all I have to say.  PLEASE do not waste your time and our time
