P3D HP ScanJet Adapter Results

I received my HP ScanJet Slide Adapter purchased recently over the net for
$19.95 plus tax and shipping.Ý I used it with a UMax 1200P scanner.Ý The
adapter had to be turned 180 deg in order for it to work.Ý This was discovered
by John Fairstein and posted on his web page.

It didn't work well at the left edge on my scanner,Ý I had to move it toward
the center to avoid a vertical shadow bar.Ý The slide was placed at the top
center in the middle of the center black bar.

A full-frame pair of 2x2 slides taken with the RBT-X4B was scanned.

The 520V x 797H pixel scan of one image is at

The stereo pair was cut down to 280V x 430H pixels each for VueMagic
over-under
viewing.Ý It is at

These were scanned at the scanner's max resolution of 600DPI and not corrected
in any way, just cropped and saved as JPG files.Ý The performance is what I
had
expected, i.e. about the same as a scan of a 4x6 print at 133dpi.
