P3D Defective VM reels

Okay, here's a totally trivial question:  I recently acquired a VM reel
(Baseball Stars of the Major Leagues III, No. 727, in case you're interested)
with one of the film chips mismounted at the factory.  Is it more valuable
because it slipped by whatever quality control Sawyer exercised and somehow
managed to escape the trash heap of time and therefore scarce, or is it less
valuable because it's defective?  Or is it entirely inconsequential?  Thanks.
