Seriously now... Tell then not to aim the camera too high.  Tell them
that you want your head at the top of the frame and your legs in the
picture.  If you see them raising the camera tell them that they are
raising it too high...

After they get the composition right, try to work on the following:
Not to shake the camera when they press the release button, not to
bump into the focusing and throw it at infinity (Realist problem)
and certainly not to tilt the camera to 90 degrees!
