P3D Interpupillary distance

I just had my eyes examined on Saturday, and noticed the eye doctor doing
what seemed like measuring my interpupillary distance. When I asked him
about it, he told me mine was 69mm, which was definitely on the high side.
According to him, average is around 63mm to 65mm.

I wonder if this means that I have more tolerance for slightly hyper
effects, or that I find the Realist closer to ortho than, for example, a
65mm lens spacing would be. I wonder if, in general, stereo enthusiasts
have wide eye spacing. Anyone have ideas (or even actual knowledge!) about
any of this?
