P3D Pulfrich

This past weekend I enjoyed some NFL games by watching my DSS broadcasts
by alternating two pair of pulfrich glasses. I made two pair ( right eye
open...and left eye open ) so I could follow the offense depending on
the direction of play on the ball field. I really enjoyed the frequent
enhanced depth effects ( probably 75-80% of the time the depth effect
was strong)
After a while I noticed that only one pair of glasses seemed to suffice
for the whole game, probably due to the constant motion by players
moving in opposite directions. I noticed no apparent difference between
the glasses regardless of the direction of play. Surprising to me was
the amount of depth present in the close-up shots as the camera panned
or zoomed very slowly, for example shots of a player walking to the
sideline, or shots around the huddle while calling the plays etc. Has
anyone else routinely watched the games ( or other sports) with pulfrich
glasses and what are your experiences? Do you suppose the increased
resolution of DSS has something to do with the quality of the pulfrich
effect? ( not considering the moton of the camera) Thanks.
