In p3d 3141, Peter Davis writes, in part:

<< , however, that
you can have Realist slides commercially mounted. I've been using Kodalux
mounting services for years with no problems. Some people have complained
that Kodalux mounting is not good enough for projection use. >>

At first I relied exclusively on Kodak processing and mounting. Kodak
processed and mounted each and every one of my color rolls for the first three
or so years of my stereo shooting. I have even won a few prizes with Kodak
mounted slides (where the errors weren't extreme enough to trash my scores).
(See the judging thread for technical merit.) However, as my experience and
knowledge have grown, my standards have also. I find I can no longer tolerate
Kodak's quality control standards. (I may be biased by the fact that they
trashed (scratched and damaged) each of the last five rolls I sent them.) I
don't eagerly anticipate my next mounting marathon (speaking of George in
Greece) but it hasn't stopped me from shooting, either.
