I notice there has been some discussion about the upcoming Stereoscopic
Displays and Applications conference on this list. In view of that,
here is a copy of the last Conference Update:

SD&A Mailing List Informational Update 23 December 1999
        ======================================  ================

This is the 10th year of the "Stereoscopic Displays and Applications
Conference" under the excellent leadership of our chairmen: John Merritt
and Scott Fisher. In commemoration, on Monday 25th January (at about 6pm),
following the last paper session, we will be having a special showing of
3D videos, as selected by the program committee. The aim of this session
will be to showcase current work in the stereoscopic video field. If you
want to submit something to be presented at this time - or would like to
offer suggestions for appropriate pieces -, please let us know.
We are aiming for sequences to be about 10 minutes in length each.

As in past years at the conference we will be using a stereoscopic video
projection system provided by QD Technology (Lowell Noble and Brad Nelson).
The system uses a large rear projection screen that preserves polarization
and two high-res video projectors with cross polarizers. We will be
using this system for the screening session videos as well as during the
rest of the conference.

Our annual SD&A Dinner will again be held this year. It will take
place on the evening of Monday 25th January (the first day of the
conference) following the video showing. More details will follow.

----

Bookings are still open for space at the conference Demonstration
Session (2:30-5:30pm, Wednesday 27th January 1999). Last conference's
demo session was a full house and very successful. Authors are
encouraged to bring equipment for display in support of their
presentations. Tables with power are supplied. Conference Attendees may
also exhibit equipment at the demonstration session. Please email
Andrew Woods with your request to confirm your table:
