P3D Re: "Polaroid" glasses

Various folks have commented on the inaccurate use of words on this listserver:

Wouldn't it be nice if there were a glossary of terms (often called FAQs)to
which newbies
could be referred whenever they misuse those sacred words like "3d" when
they just mean high 
resolution, intensely colored 2d images: "stereopticons" when they mean
stereoscopes: "polaroid" when they mean polarized: etc,etc,etc...?
