P3D Back from Athens!!!
Greetings everyone!
Back from Athens recovering and getting ready to go to work!
It was a good experience, emotionally and photographically!
Came back with 20 rolls of slide film (all in 3d of course!!!)
Bought two rolls of Fujichrome in the Athens airport and managed to
shoot them all (plus one more I had left) during the various flights...
Nice hypers of the Alps in the way back from Italy... I used warming
filters (85) for the first time to cut the blue haze and (even though
I have not seen the pictures yet) I am sure they turned out well...
All shot with the RBT S1 in infinity focusing mode.
My plane from Italy was 2 hours late and, as a result, I lost the
connection from Chicago to Cleveland. Ended up arriving in Cleveland
at 9:00 pm (instead of 4:30)... Airports were a mess due to the recent
bad weather experienced in USA Midwest. Schools were canceled in
Cleveland on Monday and most probably today too. Temperature is
-15C (around zero or below, F) at best!
It's good to be back... Lots of mail, boxes, email (some 400 messages
in my att account!), even phone calls... to catch up... Will reply to
personal messages in due time... (by the end of the week).
Stereo club meeting tonight!!!
Did you see the last issue of STEREO WORLD? (July/August, 25.3 issue)
Check Bill Patterson's "The Society" column under "The Ohio Stereo
Photographic Society"... Also, John Dennis' "Stereogram Bound to
Please" (p 37). Lots of good advertisement for our club and our
Newsletter Vol 1&2! Got a few orders and subscriptions in the mail
too!!! (thanks to SW)
Also, John Dennis' review of my Realist viewer book "Red Button
Reading". Here is how he starts: "George Themelis (a.k.a. Dr. T.),
world master of viewer repair, maintenance and modifications, has a
second edition of his highly regarded 1994 book..."
Note this "world master"!!! Also, Bill Patterson writes: "George
Themelis is well known to our Stereoscopic Society members as
secretary of our Gamma Transparency Circuit... and to 3D onliners
everywhere among the internet users..." Thank you gentlemen for
your kind words!
OK... nuff said. Back to work....
George Themelis, back in Brecksville Ohio USA.
