P3D Re: Atlanta club meeting

The January ASA meeting will be held at the Congregational Church at I-285 and
Clairmont Road this Friday (the 8th) at 7:30 PM.  This is competition night.
These are general topic events for cards and Realist-format slides, a maximum
of four per format per person.  (We use only ASA certified judges.)

I will bring a selection of slides from the Chinese views that Widescreen
Centre is distributing.  We will give Larry Moor's Brackett dissolver a rest
and try out my brand-new-never-turned-on Brackett fader.  I will also bring
the miniature room VM reels to view with the Dukes 12X viewer (it's ironic
that the fellow went to all the trouble to build the rooms small so we can
take pictures of them with telephoto lenses and view in a 12x viewer).

The recent APEC exchange will be available for inspection.  If you haven't
viewed it, it represents a real variety of interesting work.  I can't say that
all are to my liking, but it does keep one's mind open about different types
of images. Greg provides a real service in running the exchange. Thanks.
