Hi John (and everyone) - thanks for the offer! Right at the moment I'm looking
at how to keep the list running during the summer since I'm
liable to be away from the school here for an extended period,
and if the machine were to go down, I don't know if anyone would be here
who could bring it back up. 

Since there are a number of "free" or "almost free" mailing list
hosts now available, I'm doing some serious thinking of moving
the e-mail part of the list there, but will keep the archives
(or at least one copy) here as now set up.

I'll probably be making an announcement in the next few days.
