As a matter of fact, a few weeks ago I went out seeking to take
blurred pictures with my RBT. Here is why: The upcoming assignment
in Detroit is "creative blur". Up to this point I was only
experienced in non-creative blur. So, I put my $3,000 automatic
camera on a tripod and had my son roller blade around our yard.
I followed him with the camera (rotating on the tripod) set at
1/15 second. Took only two pictures. One turned out well with
my son relatively sharp (it is mostly a matter of luck to get the
subject sharp in this case) and the background blurred. I will
enter this in Detroit and I am keeping my fingers crossed...
So, yes, a $3,000 automatic camera can be used to take blurred
pictures!!!
