The manipulation of film color using "film-gels" is now "old hat" for
me. My new experiments involve drilling holes in RBT mounts to create
interesting window effects. ( please ask Jon Golden not to exempt me
from purchasing the mounts or an S1 in the future, ok? :-))
On the rear black half of the mount along the vertical edges of the
aperature opening, I drill very small holes along the edge, evenly
spaced approx 5-6 holes, both along the inner and outer edge of the
window. I mount the image ( usually a potrait) and place the white half
of the mount ( no holes) toward the viewer. This results in a very nice
" vanity mirror " effect along the edges of the window. Very cool!!
For projection purposes, place the image backwards in the projector. For
best results, proper orientation would require the use of 2 black mount
halves with holes passing through both halves. Colored gels can be
placed over the holes to add interesting vanity light colors!
Well, that's all for now. Better let the RBT fans digest one at a
time......I don't want to be responsible for any heart-attacks. :-)
