( informative, light-hearted IR 6 )

Still wincing after my posting describing holes being drilled through
RBT mounts? Well, here is another " mount effect " that simply takes a
pair of scissors to the images. :-) This is a nice viewer effect:
I made a template which allows me to use light colored pastel papers as
an insert to RBT mounts. First, I cut off the sprocket holes on each
image. Using both white pieces of an RBT mount ( white front and white
back ) I mount the image to the back piece using a mounting guage and
transparent ( scotch) tape. I eliminate the use of the registration pins
for this one. The paper insert, with aperature holes cut out of course,
is sandwiched between the mount.
(Similar to matting a print) the light illuminates the paper through the
white mount pieces and there you have a color enhanced window! This
effect will highlight and compliment your images. OK, so we have "
vanity mirror " and "pastel window " effects. Why not include the window
as an area of interest also?
Catch your breath (sorry Jon ) more to follow.
