I think Ray makes an excellent point and shouldn't be passed off to
hastily. The reason being is as much as WE all love the addition
of depth and we all think it is a quantum leap forward in capturing
or reproducing reality...., alot of other folk DON'T feel this way.
For them the biggest jump was color and that's about all! They
react more positively to seeing exaggerated depth. So yes..., they
will have the attitude if it looks realistic, so what, I can see
that right now without a viewer. Similiar example is the old tv
sets and turning up the reds to make the skin more lifelike (which
it wasn't).

Thinking out loud, I wonder if 3-D would have caught on in the 19th
century if they had color! I'm speculating if they did, 3D wouldn't
have been as big a deal. Heresy, I know! ;-)
