Advantages of Slides over Prints:
1) Realist 28 images E6 same day $6.00
    prints-2 rolls 24 exp. same day $ 24.00
2) film cost difference negligable
3) slides are backlit...no shimmer, gloss or matt appearance...more
realistic. Sure, prints are good..but can never be backlit and the
surface sheen cannot go unnoticed.
4) Both require materials and mounting time..no advantage either way
5) Slides and lit viewer offer the best way to spoon feed 3D to
newcomers. Slide is correctly positioned, correctly lit, and the
observers eyes are correctly aligned. Prints require proper lighting,
correct stereoscope placement etc. Try showing someone a print pair
while standing in a parking garage. ( Of course I have :-))
6) Slide film is everywhere just like print film. Walmart, Pharmor,
K-mart etc. I don't think it will become extinct all that soon.
7) Dr T is buying and selling slide products. Major manufacturers follow
his trends! :-)
8) Slides are " what you see is what you get"
print labs are generous with majenta and cyan and yellow and garbage! I
started with prints...and labs are why I went to slides.
