P3D Re: Revere stereo projector

In P3D-3194 Michael Searcy <stereo3d@xxxxxxxxxx> asked "I am relatively
new to the list and was wondering if someone could
tell me if Revere ever manufactured or sold a stereo projector?"
Revere may well have made a prototype 3D projector at some stage, they
certainly had the necessary expertise.
However, I am almost positive that they never had a stereo projector on
the market.
They sure had an elaborate mono projector though. I recently saw a pair
of Revere mono projectors that had been used for the projection of 2x2
stereo pairs over 30 years ago. They happen to have become the property
of our local stereo club and the club will try to find a buyer at our
next "buy swap and sell night" - chances would not good at selling them.
The Wollensak lenses even have diaphragms to allow mechanical fading
between slide changes.
