I started with the 3M Scotch 568 Mounting Adhesive. It works well using all
the steps Susan described. But I found the number of steps a bit more work
then I wanted. So now use the Liquid Paper product - DryLine. It comes in a
hand held dispenser in either red (permanent) or yellow (temporary) with
replaceable cartridges. The adhesive is similar to the Scotch 568 adhesive.
A line of adhesive is drawn on the mount or picture like you would draw a
line with a pencil. There is no backing material to burnish or remove.

I use a single line of the temporary adhesive along the bottom of the print
to position (and re-position) the prints. I then lift the top of the print
and apply the permanent adhesive to hold the prints to the back of the q-vu
mount. More permanent adhesive is then applied to the top of the q-vu mount
and folded over on the print to make a sealed view. The DryLine marker puts
down a line of adhesive 8mm wide which just fits the width of the cardboard
making the openings in the q-vu mount. It even works well on the division
between the openings. I found that I did not have to completely cover the
back of the print to get good adhesion and a flat print. Only the edges of
the print need to be covered. This saves on adhesive costs.
