P3D RBT Mounts & popping from the pins

In P3D-3207 Mark Dottle <markaren@xxxxxxxxx> questioned the use of Yellow
thingy and then wrote "The next problem I have is images popping from the
pins since it becomes difficult to move both pins simultaneously!
So....that is why I say RBT mounts and Albion mounts require the same amount
of effort, just a different method."
I never found a use for the Yellow thingy - has anyone?
On the "popping from the pins" issue with RBT mounts, I find that the best
solution to this is to get the film as flat as possible. I ask the processor
to put the film in negative sleeves (no extra cost). My next step is to put
each page of transparencies under a pile of books for at least a couple of
days before mounting. I now only have the "popping from the pins" problem
when I am too impatient to wait the couple of days for the film to become
perfectly flat.
On the high cost of RBT mounts issue raised by Mark Hathfield in P3D-3205,
I have to agree with David Kesner <drdave@xxxxxxxxxx>. The precision
"Spicer" card mounts, in their great variety of sizes, are the only card
mount worth using.
