*****  I've compared PhotoShop JPG images to those created in other programs
like PaintShop Pro, and I distinctly like the non-PhotoShop JPG images far
better. Yes there are major differences from one program to another. It's
useful to compare the results in several programs and make your own
decisions which to use.

*****  As others have said, he may be in 256 color mode. In any software
that's a nightmare. The goal on the internet is to put your images up with
as high a quality as you can reasonably do so. The rest is up to the viewer
to configure their computer for optimum access. 16 bit color is a minimum
requirement to enjoy most graphics.

If he's already in at least 16 bit color, then try the preferences
suggestion from the ex-aol subscriber, or change browsers completely.
