I use front surface mirrors from the same company as Dennis Brown (maker of ViewMagic viewer) does to make my Large Format Stereo Viewers. I
have had a lot of experience cleaning them. The best way I have come up with is to put several drops of lens cleaner on a soft cotton cloth
(white T shirt works well). Apply the lens cleaner to the mirror. Let the lens cleaner dry for a minute or so until it looks cloudy and not
liquid. Buff the area with a dry part of the cloth until it is clean. These front surface mirrors have a coating on them which protects them
to some degree and makes it possible to clean them without scratching them. An uncoated front surface mirror is virtually impossible to clean.
If anyone needs front surface mirrors for experimenting let me know. The Large Format Viewer is primarily for exhibiting large stereo images
(prints or transparencies) if anyone wants more information about it.
