P3D Pro studio lighting question

Hello all,

I have gotten to the point now where my main focus (no pun inteded) in
stereo photography is studio lighting, and sometimes outdoor at night
lighting.

I have been using multiple flashes with slaves, but I am looking for
something that gives off a lot more light.  And I am considering some
what using lamps as well as strobes.

I just don't know what to make of the many different choices out
there.  I understand guide #'s for flash, but not wattage for strobes.
 If anyone that knows the answers to this (john Baird?, Borris?), you
can e-mail me on or off list.  I don't know if this would be of
interest to all others.
