Hi John,
I would agree with you except for one critical issue. It is precisely the
non-technical or less-technical that need to understand about adding the
mime type to their web page server through their ISP.
People with little to no idea about HTML and web pages are using the embed
tag simply because it was suggested. I have endeavored to make my comments
informative enough so that the non-techies can grasp the idea and the
reasoning behind the ideas. If they are all subscribed to SD-3D, then it
might be good to discuss there. However, I suspect many who need this
information are NOT on SD-3D, at least yet.
After reviewing some changes to John's web site, I do have some more
technical comments to make on this issue and will do those on SD-3D. If any
of you have or intend to have a web page, embed tags or not, tune in to
SD-3D for the more technical follow up.
