P3D Comments on stereo slide formats

Unfortunately, as Greg pointed out, many popular stereo viewers
(Realist red and green button, Kodaslide I and II) will not show
the entire width of 7p slides. This is something to rememember
when you submit slides in the folios of the Stereoscopic Society.
(That's why DrT is around... to enlarge these viewers to 7p!)

If you work with 35 mm film then the height is restricted to 24 mm.
The difference is only in the width. So, the blank statement
that a larger image area is better is not accurate because it
involves a change in the propotions. For example, as you noted,
a portrait is not better if it is wider. (this comment assumes
mounting slides in 41x101 mm mounts).

DrDave! You have not been reading photo-3d carefully, have you?!
The TDC 116 carrier will show 7p (up to 40x40 mm). The TDC 716
will not. (But DrT can take care of that too!)
