I'm not sure how you conclude light is therefore the general term and
not heat from the above. Regardless, light is not always the general
term. It depends on your background or field. If that's the case then
heat absorbing glass, heat reflecting mirrors, heat transmitting
mirrors, heat radiators, etc., should be called light absorbing glass,
light reflecting mirrors, light transmitting mirrors, light radiators,
etc...! Heat is just as much a commonly used term.
Note, blackbodies (incandescent light sources) have to be really hot
to radiate in the visible or near IR but LED's, lasers and a few other
chemical light sources don't.
